Warm-up:  Evaluate your book.  How well did the author make his/her argument?  Explain.  Why is or isn’t this an important book for students to read?  In what ways does the writing in this book seem like the type of writing you will be required to produce in your academic career?

Classwork:  Using the models provided, write an AP style argumentative prompt about a major debatable issue of your independent book, then make a brief outline about how you (or others) would answer with evidence from the text; bloodthirsty 3rd passage of AP test

Homework:  P-S vocab due Tuesday 1/21
