Caluculating your AP Test Score

For the 2007 test that we just took, this was the formula to get your AP score


Multiple Choice

[# correct – (1/4X number wrong)] X 1.2980 = weighted score for section 1 (do not round)

Essays

Essay 1 __(score out of 9)______ x 3.0556 = _____
Essay 2__(score out of 9)______ x 3.0556 = ______
Essay 3 __(score out of 9)______ x 3.0556 = _____

Sum of essay scores = weighted score for section 2 ( do not round)


Composite Score
Section 1 + Section 2 = Your composite score (round to the nearest whole #)


AP Scale=

5 = 110-150
4 = 94-109
3 = 74-93
2 = 48-73
1 = 0-47
